There is acid in a drink. But how much? Acid is a compound ususally having a sour taste and has the ability to nuetralizing skalkalis and reddening blue litmus paper, containing hydrogen that can be replaced by a metal or an electropositive group to form a salt, or containing an atom that can accept a pair of electrons from a base. (dictionary.reference.com) In a soft drink, there is acid, and this experiment is to determine how much therre is in one.
Purpose: To test how much acid in is a soft drink.

Prelab: 
 Hypothesis:If a PH Indicator is mixed with Sprite and Gatorade, then the Sprite will turn the indicator pink because it contains critic acid.Materials: Vinegar Baking Soda Cabbage Juice Distilled WaterSprite Gatorade
Distilled Water Vinegar Procedure:1. You make the cabbage juice indicator by boiling red cabbage leaves for approxiametely 20 min.2. Label 5 testtubes:#1: Vinegar#2:Baking Soda#3:Distilled Water#4: Sprite#5: Gatorade3. Pour 10 ml of their solution in each test tube.4.Pour 10 ml of PH Indicator in eah test tube and mix each one with the PH indicator.5.Observe the test tubes and create your data table.6. Write your conclusion.
